Springing forth from the same mutant milieu/miasma/non-scene as fellow state capital punks the Shitdogs and disintegrating faster than a fourth quarter Saints lead, The Zoomers perhaps moreso than any other punk/post-punk group from Louisiana likely resembled their surroundings the least. Their lone 1981 single, pressed up in an edition of a few hundred, is the perfect background music to a This Is Your Brain On Drugs PSA. Sonically more akin to the UK bedroom DIY messthetic, but philosophically American fuck up.
