The PHD Audiophile AF 6.1 Competition Kit is a 6.5-inch 2-way component speaker set built for serious car audio competition and uncompromising sound quality. Made in Italy by PHD Audiophile a brand with deep roots in the European SQ competition scene the AF 6.1 Competition Kit represents the pinnacle of what a 6.5-inch component set can achieve.

The “AF” designation stands for Aluminium Fiber, referring to the mid-bass driver’s cone material: a composite that combines the rigidity and low mass of aluminium with the damping characteristics of fibre to produce a cone that is simultaneously stiff, light, and well-controlled across its operating range. The result is midrange reproduction that is fast, detailed, and dynamically accurate in a way that paper and polypropylene cones simply cannot match.

The Competition Kit designation means this set ships with PHD’s competition-grade tweeter the AF 1.C TW a neodymium-motored silk dome unit eng
